Success stories

Real journeys. Real outcomes.

The foundation measures success one young person at a time. These are a few of the journeys our programs have helped shape.

Amara Okafor

Amara Okafor

Scholarship Alumna — Lagos, Nigeria

Amara joined the foundation's grassroots program at 11. By 16 she had captained her regional cohort, earned a full academic scholarship and signed her first semi-pro contract. She is now studying sports management on a foundation-backed university award while playing in her country's top tier.

Diego Marín

Diego Marín

Academy Graduate — Medellín, Colombia

After three years in the talent ID pathway, Diego earned a 12-week exchange placement in Portugal. Today he plays in a partner academy's reserve squad and mentors younger boys back home through the foundation's leadership program.

Priya Nair

Priya Nair

Priya joined our Women's Football Development pathway when the closest girls' team was a four-hour bus ride away. She is now the youngest licensed coach in her state — and runs three weekly sessions for the next wave of girls coming through.
